Why we exist

The strategist who sets your message also directs your film

Most video projects start with a brief from someone who won’t be on set, and a production company that missed the strategy discussions shoots the film. The finished video looks like other companies’ videos, because the crew never learned the purpose behind the message.

LC Studios closes that gap, because Let’s Canoe sets the brand strategy first and our studio turns that strategy into film. The director who shoots your film is the strategist who helped shape your brand’s message, so your project never passes between separate teams.

We also film independent documentaries and narrative projects on our own time to keep our crew’s skills strong, which is why we own more cinema gear than a typical marketing agency.

Where do you film?
We’re based in downtown Billings and film across Montana, Wyoming, and the wider region. We also travel when a production needs a location farther away.
Who directs your productions?
Brian Murnion, co-founder and chief strategist of Let’s Canoe, directs most LC Studios productions. We build a crew of directors of photography, camera assistants, grip and electric technicians, and audio engineers to fit each production, and the film credits above name each crew.
How long does a video project take?
We deliver a single-day shoot with a clear concept within a few weeks. Brand films and commercials take longer because development, production, and post-production each need time. Documentary timelines vary the most because they follow the story. We set your schedule on the scoping call and stick to that schedule.
